Monday Mural - Fire Hydrant

Andy | Monday, April 30, 2012 | Best Blogger Tips

I have absolutely no information about the artist or the mural. Not only that, but I'm also confused. It depicts a Snowy Owl and what appears to be a Snow Leopard. The owl is native to Canada but not the leopard. Why they are together in the same painting is a mystery to me. The young man in the photo looks familiar but I can't place him ;-)
I'm linking to Monday Mural.

  1. Maybe the only reason they were together in the painting is that they were both "snow" creatures! That is an interesting way to dress up the hydrant though...I love the creativity of people! And I think I know that fellow in the photo!

  2. Interesting....
at least that young man is suitably dressed in blue so as to blend in.

  3. Linda may have the answer... both are snow creatures. That sure beats the usual plain plain firehydrant. And EG CameraGirl needs to find this young man and have her photo taken with him... LOL!

  5. Yes there aren't many Snow Leopards wandering around Oshawa. Great way to decorate the hydrant though.

  6. maybe the young man in the photo is a 3-D mural :)

  7. Whoever had this idea is onto something. Why not use different surfaces as canvases and create visual interest? Even small ones are compelling. I imagine snow covers these snow critters many months of the year. Wonder if they escape the snow plow scrapes? As to the young man in the photo, he looks like someone I'd like to meet. :-) Thanks for participating in Monday Mural.
