Monday Murals - Sepia Mural

Andy | Monday, July 23, 2012 | Best Blogger Tips

Artist James Gain: Located on the Mark's Work Wearhouse building. This piece was designed for quick readability as the majority of viewers will be driving past it in their cars and will have scant chance to stop and look at details. I'm linking to Monday Mural.

  1. Not much open land left to be ploughed in Uxbridge nowadays!
    I really like the sepia.

    1. Because of a lack of a permanent sufficient supply of water Uxbridge has a ban on any new housing. That is a major reason why the price of real estate is so high in the area.

  7. If I were driving by, this would make my head swivel, and cause me to hit the brakes. These ol' timey scenes always pluck my heart strings. Thank you for participating in this week's Monday Mural.

  8. I'd be surprised to see this scene of a horse pulling a plow in Canada, but in Asia we still regularly see carabao (water buffalo) in the fields. A very well-painted mural.

[Thanks for call-out on my typo, Andy... My host here saw it too and I was just correcting it when your comment came in. I must still have been a zombie from jet lag, as I know very well it is Warden. Yesterday we drove by there and saw a couple more murals, so those are for next week if I have time to post. Toronto was well represented over at ODP this week!]
